Betel
Venue Description
Named for the edible leaf found throughout Asia, Betel is a Southeast Asian restaurant that opened in the West Village in March. Designed by Martin Brudnizki, who also fashioned the look of Le Caprice in the Pierre hotel and Cecconi's West Hollywood, the 70-seat eatery has a rustic aesthetic with exposed brick walls, reclaimed wood, and industrial light fixtures. The main dining room seats 55, a bar seats 14, and a lounge in the rear seats 20. The entire space is available for buyouts and has room for as many as 140 for receptions.
