The facility specializes in full-service events and is one of the few private clubs in New York City with a seasonal garden. Designed by celebrated architect Mott B. Schmidt in 1927, the Astor House was purchased by the New York Junior League in 1947 and designated a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1967.
